Accident Reported With Fire In Sadsbury Township

On November 13, 2021 at 21:21 hrs. The Lancaster County - Wide Communications Center alerted Ambulance 46-1 & Chester County Medic 293 along with Christiana Fire Company for a vehicle accident with Entrapment, possibly involving fire in the 100 block of Upper Valley Road in Sadsbury Township. Assistant 52 (Vandenbosch) arrived on location within minutes of the dispatch and reported no fire, and confirmed entrapment in the only vehicle involved in the accident. Engine 521 arrived and stabilized the vehicle, the crew split up and popped the drivers door of the vehicle for EMS to gain access to the Patient. Extrication was complete within 6 minutes of Engine 52-1's arrival & the patient was transported by Ambulance 46-1 and Medic 293 to an area trauma center.
